Why add a Deck to your House or Home?

Enlarge your home living area and improve the value and curb appeal of your home with an attractive outdoor home deck. Increase the beauty of your home while enjoying the outdoors with style.

Decks additions are among the least complex and most pleasing home improvement projects you can undertake. Built with pressure treated lumber, redwood, cedar, or *Tex, your deck will last for years to come. There are a wide variety of options including attached, freestanding, multi-level, corner styles, octagon, and more.

Should I use pressure-treated lumber?

You may want to use pressure-treated wood which is lumber and plywood that has been specifically treated with preserving agents to make the wood stronger, more durable, and impervious to insects and rot.

Pressure-treated wood ranks as one of the most popular outdoor building materials, due to its low cost, ease of handling, and strength and durability. It is treated with a water-soluble compound that bonds to the wood fiber, altering the cellulose in the fiber to make it unsuitable as a source of food for termites or fungus.

Each of our deck building plans lists the material you will need to complete the deck project, including:
